Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2006 by Chuck Wood. CROC ROC is a reflection of Chuck Wood’s life, friends and family are a reflection of his life, childhood friends and life experiences. Music has been the most influential with Chuck and the motivation around CROC ROC and the cast of characters. CROC ROC was created to be an inspiration, hope, and motivations for kids of all ages to realize their dreams are achievable.
Chuck’s vision for CROC ROC Academy of Arts & Sciences includes a facility with classrooms for kids to learn, a concert hall for kids performances, housing for those participating with the CROC ROC education.
CROC ROC education goal is to ensure students can achieve economic prosperity. STEM supports kid’s use of their knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and math to understand how the world works and to solve problems. The use of creative tools and computers is an important element in the curricula. This is at the heart of the CROC ROC education program. Each of these areas builds on each other…. Math provides the foundation of physics…. Physics for engineering……which can be applied to create high tech devices and testing theories….and can lead to advances in engineering and technology. Through this they learn critical thinking, to solve and detect problems. Most important they learn how to deal with difficult situations, cope with stress and persevere despite the difficulties.
The Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences will build a state-of-the-art wooden building with eight floors: the top three will be studio apartments. One floor for the Academy offices with the remaining floors for classrooms, individual/group sound booths, orchestral rehearsing, art classes, computer learning, animation, high tech equipment, programming, and development. We will increase the various arts/sciences as we grow and find new ideas and ways of providing all students the opportunity to study. The bottom floor will have a visitor’s lounge and a small auditorium for performances and the Croc Roc Café. Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences (a non-profit organization) is entering into a partnership with TRG Golf and Los Angeles Consulting Group to collaborate on a mutually beneficial golf program. The proposed event will be held in the summer of 2019 (venue may change if conflict for dates). This event will allow us to achieve maximum fundraising and networking effort to build the first building that will benefit the charity to give children of all ages the opportunity to fulfill their goals and dreams in music and arts, where our schools have been depleted of these programs and make a difference.
