Short Description“The Notes have Eyes to the Colours on Canvas of our Dreams” Chuck Wood
Company OverviewCroc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which will give children of all ages the opportunity to fulfill their goals and dreams in music and arts. It is our hope to build or use an existing building for classrooms and a concert hall with performances along with the Croc Roc Café to support it. I have licensed the rights of the name, logo and characters to be used by the foundation. It is up to us, the people to make a difference after the government has depleted the funding for the arts and music in our schools. It is our hope after we establish the Academy in a certain area of the State that we can then filter these classes down into the schools or communities. If you know of those who would like to donate to the foundation, sponsor and/or volunteer you can contact our V.P. of Philanthropy (grant writer) listed below and she will send out the full proposal targeted to that specific sponsor or donator. I look forward to hearing from you and have you working with us in making dreams come true.
Long DescriptionOther benefits will be held to fund specific projects for children with aids or other diseases. The Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences will work with various organizations to determine where there may be a need for funds and then will host an event to raise those funds. What is the Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences? We are incorporated and have been granted 501(c)-3 non-profit status (also for the State of California).
The Board of Directors are all professionals who see the vision and the dreams of Chuck Wood and what the Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences means to the young people of our country.
A copy of the budget is available upon request. The major costs initially will be setting up the foundation and Academy, securing an appropriate venue, approaching accredited Instructors and Celebrities for teaching roles and begin seeking students through a series of PSA’s (TV/Radio and Print) totaling approximately $250,000.
Any donations and volunteer hours will vary the budget considerably. We plan on several major fund-raisers each year to help defray some of the costs, as well as support specific causes.
Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences has assembled the team to do the work and we have the plan ready to implement. The only item left to complete the package, is the funding. We have the professionals to guide and direct us, the experts in the fields necessary to implement our plans and with the proper funding we will begin to make the world a more informed place for the youth of today and of the future.
General InformationWith the national and local funding for the arts continuing to dwindle due to budget cuts, it is even more critical to embark upon our journey as soon as possible. Nearly every country with the exception of the United States, considers education in these areas essential to the development of its young people. Students who report consistently high levels of involvement in instrumental music and the arts over the middle and high school years show significantly higher performance in the areas of mathematics and overall academic proficiency by grade 12. Participation in the arts allows children to become better students and well-rounded adults. It may also inspire them to take up the arts or sciences either as a profession or as a hobby. There are very few elementary schools in the United States that teach foreign language or talk to students about the great Masters of the world, not to mention teach music. Therefore, it is one of the goals for the Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences to educate the young people of the United States in the Arts and Sciences. The areas of education will include, but not be limited to the following:Music Instrumentation; composition; theory; types; history
Art History; Painting; Sculpting; Drawing; Design
Dance Modern; Tap; Ballet; Ballroom; Ethnic; Choreography
Theatre Acting; Directing; Producing; Set Design; Management
Literature Classics; Creative Writing; Poetry; Prose; Composition
Computers Technology; Programming; Design; Animation
It is also the goal of the Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences to start scholarship program so that children who are interested in pursuing an area of the arts and sciences will be able to receive specialized instruction or education.
The Academy will also provide tutors to assist those enrolled in our program who are having difficulty in reading, writing or mathematics.
As Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences turns to the area of fundraising and sponsorship to aid special groups, the founders have become aware that there are many health professionals willing to donate their time at a “homeless” clinic, but there are no funds to pay for the flu shots, vaccines and medications needed to treat those who are living on the street.
MissionThe overall goal of the Croc Roc Academy of Arts and Sciences is to “make a difference”! To make a difference, by helping to educate children/youth in all aspects of the arts, music and sciences.
